Punjab Vigilance Bureau files 40000-page chargesheet against Bikram Majithia

Exposes ₹700 crore benami assets having 30 immovable properties, 10 vehicles, and 15 firms 

Chandigarh, August 22, 2025 (Bharat Khabarnama Bureau) – The Punjab Vigilance Bureau during its ongoing ‘war’ against drug traffickers and corruption has filed a 45,000 page chargesheet against former state cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia.

During this probe, raids were conducted at 15 locations across different states of the country, which revealed 30 immovable properties, 10 vehicles, and 15 companies or firms linked to Majithia. These were found to be associated with illegal assets acquired during his tenure as a minister. The chargesheet states that Bikram Singh Majithia amassed wealth worth nearly 1200 percent more than his known sources of income during the investigation period, with an estimated value of ₹700 crore. The entire case has now been presented in court with substantial evidence.
