Chandigarh, March 9, 2025 (Bharat Khabarnama Bureau): Punjab Police has arrested music producer Pinky Dhaliwal based on a complaint filed by renowned Punjabi singer and lyricist Sunanda Sharma, known for her melodious voice and songwriting in the Punjabi music industry. Sunanda has accused Pinky Dhaliwal of fraud, non-payment of dues, and issuing threats.
Following the directives of Punjab State Women’s Commission Chairperson Raj Lali Gill, the Mataur police station has registered an FIR against Pinky. Sunanda claimed that Pinky had not paid her pending dues for several years and had held her captive in the company. Additionally, she alleged that she was threatened.
Sunanda Sharma, famous for her superhit songs on the Bollywood show Bigg Boss, shared an emotional post on her X handle on Saturday, coinciding with International Women’s Day. In her post, she revealed the exploitation and fraud she faced. Her post went viral on social media, prompting the police to take immediate action and arrest Pinky Dhaliwal.
