Chandigarh, March 2025 (Bharat Khabarnama Bureau): The Punjab government on Friday has issued transfer and posting orders for senior police officers, including the DIG of Ferozpur Range and the Police Commissioner of Ludhiana.
According to the orders, issued by Home Department, Swapan Sharma, DIG Ferozpur Range, Ferozpur has been transferred and posted as the new Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, replacing Kuldeep Singh Chahal. Meanwhile, Harmanbir Singh Gill, Joint Director, MRS, PPA, Phillour, has been appointed as the new DIG Ferozpur Range.
The government has stated that the new posting for Kuldeep Singh Chahal, DIG, will be announced later.
These administrative reshuffles are part of the state government’s routine restructuring of the police department.
