Joint Director Harjeet Grewal and Randeep Singh promoted as Additional Directors

Chandigarh, March 21, 2025 (Bharat Khabarnama Bureau) In a significant development within the Punjab Government’s Department Information and of Public Relations (IPR), two Joint Directors have been promoted to the rank of Additional Directors. Among the promoted officers are Harjeet Singh Grewal, widely recognized for his contributions as a Gatka promoter and Randeep Ahluwalia. The promotions were announced following a meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) chaired by the Secretary of IPR Malwinder Singh Jaggi.

Mentionably, Harjeet Singh Grewal, a prominent figure in the promotion of Gatka – a traditional Sikh martial art – has been instrumental in preserving and popularizing this cultural heritage across the globe. His dedication to the Sikh ancient art form has earned him widespread respect and recognition. Alongside him, Randeep Ahluwalia, another accomplished officer, has also been elevated to the position of Additional Director, marking a new chapter in his career.

The DPC meeting, held under the leadership of Secretary Malwinder Singh Jaggi, finalized the decision to promote both senior officers. Sources within the department have indicated that more high-level promotions are on the horizon with another DPC meeting expected to be convened soon to discuss further advancements.
