Punjab Launches Dedicated WhatsApp Helpline 9779100200 for Tip-Offs on Drug Paddlers
Chandigarh, March 30, 2025 (Bharat Khabarnama Bureau) : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Sunday urged citizens to actively participate in the state’s intensified anti-drug campaign, “Yudh Nasheyan Virudh” (War Against Drugs), transforming it into a mass movement.
In an audio message, the CM emphasized that the Punjab government has launched a massive crackdown on narcotics, stressing that the drug crisis had flourished under the patronage of previous regimes. “But now, we’re leaving no stone unturned to make Punjab drug-free,” he asserted.
Mann called public cooperation “crucial” in winning this battle and introduced a dedicated WhatsApp helpline (9779100200) for citizens to anonymously report drug smugglers in their areas. “Your identity will remain confidential,” he assured.
“This fight needs you—pick up your phone, share information, and become a soldier in this mission,” Mann appealed, urging Punjabis to unite against the scourge of drugs.
