Amritsar, March 30, 2025 (Bharat Khabarnama Bureau): A day after being convicted in a rape case by a Mohali court, self-proclaimed pastor Bajinder Singh faces fresh allegations of sexual exploitation. Two women approached officiating Akal Takht Jathedar, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, on Saturday, accusing Bajinder of prolonged abuse at his Dera. Baljinder is running Church of Glory and Wisdom, in village Tajpur, Jalandhar district since 2016.
In a press release, the Akal Takht Secretariat confirmed the development, stating that the women alleged they had been subjected to sexual exploitation and intimidation. Despite FIRs already registered with the Punjab Police, the victims claimed that no substantial action had been taken against the preacher, allowing him to continue threatening them. Seeking intervention, they turned to the highest temporal seat of Sikhs for justice.
Expressing concern over the delay in action, Jathedar Gargaj urged the Punjab government to take immediate and stringent steps to ensure justice for the victims and guarantee their safety. He commended the courage of the women for speaking out against the accused and assured them of full support. Encouraging them to remain steadfast, Jathedar asked them to put their faith in Guru Sahib.
Speaking to the media after meeting the Jathedar, one of the women—who claims to be the person seen in a viral video where Bajinder is allegedly assaulting someone—expressed hope for justice. She revealed that she had been associated with Bajinder’s church for over a decade and had been performing ‘sewa’ at his dera for the past six to seven years.
The case has once again put the controversial preacher, who founded the “Church of Glory and Wisdom” in 2016, under public scrutiny.
