Punjab Govt Appoints Former IAS Officer Dr. Amarpal Singh as PSEB Chairman

Chandigarh, March 5, 2025 (Bharat Khabarnama Bureau) The Punjab Government has appointed Dr. Amarpal Singh, a 2008 batch former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, as the Chairman of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB).

The board, established in 1969, is responsible for regulating and overseeing school education in the state. The PSEB conducts examinations for secondary and senior secondary classes, prescribes syllabi, and ensures the implementation of quality education standards. 

Dr. Amarpal Singh holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration and has served in various capacities, including as Special Secretary Revenue and Rehabilitation, Secretary NRI Affairs and CEO PEDA in the Punjab Government. He is 1993 batch PCS officer and had served as additional managing director of Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation (PAFC) in 2004.
